Financial counselling

Financial counselling is a free, independent and confidential service for people facing financial difficulty.

Based in community organisations, financial counsellors provide:

  • information about financial assistance and entitlements
  • information about financial options and their consequences
  • assistance in developing a money plan
  • advocacy services
